To create this look, I used the eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, and blush from the MAC Nordy Girl palette, as well as the Little MAC Lip Duo in pink.
I knew I wanted to try out this MAC Nordy Girl palette since my first post of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Top Picks, and I wrote about it again in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Beauty Picks post. Once I got my hands on one, I wasn’t disappointed!
One of the most important parts of my MAC Nordy Girl palette review is what an amazing deal this makeup kit is! It’s a $202 value, but is just $44.50 during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018!
MAC Nordy Girl Palette Tutorial
Here’s a look at all of the products in the MAC Nordy Girl palette [metallic] and the Little MAC pink lip colors.
For this MAC Nordy Girl palette tutorial, I began by curling my eyelashes and putting on one coat of the included mascara. Then, I applied my favorite eyeshadow primer [also on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018!].
Next, I began brushing the shimmery purple color [bottom row] over the lid. Then, I used the grey next to it in the outer corner and along my crease. The top left color serves as a highlighter along my browbone.
To continue the MAC Nordy Girl palette tutorial, once my eyeshadows were blended, I used the eyeliner included in the MAC Nordy Girl makeup kit to line all around my eyes. Then, I brushed on just a very tiny amount of the darkest color in the MAC Nordy Girl makeup palette [bottom right] over the eyeliner.
I’ve always worn dramatic eyeliner, so some of you may not be comfortable with lining all around your eyes or blending shadow over the liner. If that’s the case for you, just line along your top lid, then do one of the lighter gold shadows along your lower lid.
After my eyeliner was set, I curled my lashes again and applied a second coat of mascara.
Side note, how gorgeous are these earrings? They’re from Charme Silkiner and I’m wearing the “Misty” style. I love the way they’re all one piece–even the back is attached. It’s a really unique design and I get a lot of compliments on them!
The top earrings were a Christmas surprise from my husband last year. I’m a lucky girl!
MAC Nordy Girl Palette Tutorial – MAC Little MAC Pink Lip Duo Review
As I mentioned, I also used the MAC Little MAC Pink Lip Duo as part of this MAC Nordy Girl palette review and tutorial. Here you can see how both the lipstick and lip gloss included in the Little MAC Pink lip duo look on. I really love the look–it’s a nice medium pink, bright but not too bright. The lipstick applies smoothly, and the gloss is nice and shiny. Just make sure you wait a couple minutes for the lipstick to try before applying your gloss, in order to avoid excessive transfer.
There are a few different MAC lip options on the NSALE 2018, including this Little MAC duo in nude, and trios in pink and nude.

MAC Nordy Girl Palette Review
Overall, my MAC Nordy Girl palette review is quite positive. I think there are a great selection of colors in both the metallic and matte options, and I’m really impressed with the staying power of the eyeshadow. Of course, I’m sure using a good eyeshadow primer helps!
The eyeliner glides on smooth–no pulling along the eyelids! I hate when liners pull along my lids because I always feel like I’m going to age faster. I try to be extremely delicate around my eyes for that reason.
The mascara in the MAC Nordy Girl makeup kit is also good. It’s not my favorite mascara of all time, but it’s one of the better ones I’ve used. It holds a curl and I do like the brush it comes with. I probably wouldn’t buy this mascara on its own because there are [in my opinion] better options out there, but I’ll certainly use it since it comes with the kit.
