I’m so excited to share our Chicago Christmas with you! I always have SO. MANY. PHOTOS. to edit whenever we return home from a trip, so it takes me about a week to sort through them all. I narrowed it down to “just” 70 photos (from a 3 day trip…), and here’s the first round. I’m starting with our hotel, which was the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. So, here’s our Hotel Monaco Chicago Reviews!

The best part of traveling in December is that the hotel was all decorated for Christmas. Even the entrance was festive!
We were able to park in front of the hotel and have help unloading our car, then the valet parked it for us. We didn’t take it out during the rest of the trip–it was easier to just Uber around the city than to worry about finding parking in other spots.
The Hotel Monaco lobby area was gorgeous, and also ready for the holidays! I love staying in modern boutique hotels, so Hotel Monaco was a great fit. It reminded me a lot of where Blair and I stayed in Memphis!
Complimentary wine in the lobby during Happy Hour!
Our room was AMAZING. Hotel Monaco’s location is perfect, with stunning river views. We had a one-bedroom suite, and all the windows had these seats built in, so you could climb up and just look out at the city. It was especially neat in the evening with all of the buildings lit up with holiday lights!
Blair wanted to let her baby look out too.
Truly in my happy place. If I could move here, I would do it in a heartbeat! I thrive in the city.
Above are a couple images that show our bedroom pretty well. It was large and had 3 of the window seat areas!
This little guy was waiting for us in one of the window seats when we arrived back from dinner one night. The kids had never seen one of these towel animals before!
The entire staff at Hotel Monaco did a great job with the little extra touches like this. They were even texting me throughout the stay to be sure everything was going well!
Here’s the living room portion of the Hotel Monaco suite. I loved the modern design, especially the coffee tables. And there was another window seat out here, too!
Loved this sleek console in the living room! Choose Chicago had left us these fun welcome bags, too.
We even had special goodie bags for the kids, with fun road trip activities inside. They really came in handy on the drive home!
The pic above is from our last morning at Hotel Monaco. The kids were so bummed to leave! Colton said his favorite part of the trip was sitting in the window seats. Haha!
A huge thank you to everyone at Hotel Monaco for an amazing stay!
