This past summer, Blair earned a scholarship to Hollywood Dance Jamz dance convention. I signed her up to do their Branson, MO convention in January and she’s been looking forward to it for months! Because the convention was in the middle of January, it was off-season in Branson. Although it was bitterly cold while we were in town, we had a great time.
We drove from Kansas City and arrived in Branson on a Thursday evening, after a quick pit stop at Buc-ee’s in Springfield on the way.
Blair and I had a room with a double bed and she wasted no time at all getting her stuffies set up in her bed. The Baymont Inn on the Strip in Branson is located just off the highway, which made arrival and departure very easy.
There was a Chick-fil-A just a few minutes away from the Baymont, so we headed there for dinner on our first night. Since we didn’t have Alexis with us on this trip, I offered to let Blair eat inside the Chick-fil-A and play in the play place. (We usually have to take food to go since Alexis has a short attention span!) But, she was so excited to stay in a hotel that she chose to get the food to go and eat it in the hotel room instead.
Blair’s Chick-fil-A order is a kids meal with chicken nuggets and Chick-fil-A sauce, waffle fries, Sprite, and a cup of Ice Dream instead of a toy. Although we usually try to eat at some local spots whenever we travel, I decided to go for the Chick-fil-A this time because it was so convenient to the Baymont Inn and I knew Blair would love it!
Blair and I hadn’t had a one-on-one trip since we went to Memphis in 2019, so I was basically letting her call the shots this time because she was so excited for our mommy/daughter time.
The staff at Baymont Inn on the Strip Branson MO were very friendly to us and answered all of our questions. They had plenty of these luggage carts available for use, which was a great perk. I didn’t want to take too many trips in and out of the cold to bring things in from my car! It was literally a negative windchill while we were in Branson. However, our room stayed nice and toasty! Sometimes the HVAC at hotels can be hit-or-miss, but we didn’t have any issues staying warm in our room.
I really appreciated the mini fridge and microwave in the room. It’s so nice to be able to keep some cool drinks or heat up some leftovers when we are traveling for competitions and conventions.
The Baymont Inn on the Strip Branson MO also has a small snack shop in the lobby, so you can purchase snacks and drinks there as needed too.
Obligatory bathroom mirror selfie. There was plenty of counter space in the bathroom for us to get ready in the mornings–and for Blair to spread out all of her skincare. She is obsessed with this skincare set that she got for Christmas!
It was great having a free continental breakfast offered each morning! Blair especially loved the self-serve juice machine. There was also plenty of seating for breakfast, although we chose to eat in our room. Blair really, really enjoys eating in hotel beds. Probably because I don’t allow her to eat in the bed at home.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Baymont Inn on the Strip Branson, MO. You should definitely keep them in mind for your next Branson trip. The hotel is very affordable for all that it offers–complimentary breakfast, indoor pool, convenient location, and much more.
