I love the variety of baking mixes that eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R. offers because there is something for everyone! The founders, Heather McDonough and Kerry Brown, were inspired to create allergy friendly baking mixes that would make it easier for people who are on specific diets to still enjoy their favorite foods. Heather and Kerry both have autoimmune diseases, which was the catalyst for starting their brand together.
All of the eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R. baking mixes are AIP-compliant. AIP stands for AutoImmune Protocol, which is a special diet to help reduce symptoms from autoimmune diseases. AIP is similar to the paleo diet, but more restrictive. As such, Heather and Kerry saw firsthand how much of a gap there was in foods that would fit their dietary restrictions.
Many of their customers have been parents looking for allergy friendly treats for their children. As I mentioned earlier, I am the room parent for my son Colton’s class. In fact, I have been his room parent every year since he was in 3-year-old preschool, and he’s in 4th grade now. (I did take one year off when Alexis was tiny and needed me a lot.) As the class room parent, my main duty is to plan the class parties, which includes coordinating treats for all of the children to eat. It is important to me that all of the treats brought into the classroom are able to be eaten by all of the children in the class, regardless of what their dietary restrictions or allergies may be. Therefore, I love the inclusivity of brands like eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R., which make it easy for parents to choose treats for not only their own kids, but their kids’ friends as well.
Whether you have food sensitivities, allergies, are on a restorative diet, or are simply looking for healthier, real food alternatives–eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R. has something for you. Check out their full product selection here to find your new favorite allergy friendly treats today!
