While a few palettes include some brighter options, the majority of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 beauty picks contain neutral eyeshadows that will be perfect for creating smoky eyes.

This next palette is a great example of the neutral eyeshadows I was discussing earlier. Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands, and the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion on sale that included in this kit is a huge reason why. Once I started using their eyeshadow primer, I’ve never picked up another brand. Their eyeshadows also have a ton of pigment and staying power.
Which reminds me of a little story. I was wearing Urban Decay eyeshadow and primer when I went into the hospital to give birth to Blair [my VBAC baby!]. When I was about to start pushing [after 18 hours of labor!], the nurses actually complimented me on how well my eye makeup had lasted through labor. If this stuff can last through labor, pretty sure it can last through anything.

This Lancome mascara on sale set has been one of my best-selling NSALE 2018 items since day 1 of the sale. Lancome mascara is my personal favorite, too. My lashes look their best when I prime with Lancome Cils Booster, which is included in this set. It helps make them look soooo much longer and hold a curl all day, which is not normal for my lashes!

Anastasia Beverly Hills sets the standard for brows, so I was thrilled to see this AHB set and add it to my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Beauty Picks. Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel really is better than other brands. It’s weird, because you would think clear brow gel is clear brow gel. But somehow the ABH brow gel is like magic brow gel. It holds better, goes on more smoothly, and doesn’t get all clumpy in the bottle.

Skincare isn’t the most glamorous of items to purchase, so it takes a backseat to some other popular Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 picks. But, the NSALE is a great time to stock up on some favorites and take advantage of lower prices and gifts with purchase.
This is my favorite moisturizer of all time, and these bottles would probably last you until next year’s NSALE. A little of this stuff goes a long way. Your skin will feel moisturized, but not greasy. And you can put makeup on right away after applying it. With some thicker moisturizers, I feel like I have to let my face dry forever before I can put on foundation or anything.

OK, so I feel a little pretentious even putting this next item on my list of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Beauty Picks. I never would’ve tried these, but I happened to win some in an Instagram giveaway a year ago.
Turns out, they’re absolutely amazing. So refreshing, and the mist is fine enough that you can spray your face without messing up your makeup [which is a reason I don’t like the reusable spray bottles as much]. I like to use the tiny bottles to take along to Colton’s t-ball games, when we go to amusement parks, etc. Anytime we’ll be outside a lot! I use them on myself and the kids, and I even catch my husband sneaking a spray now and then.

Philosophy products are always a favorite. I remember buying my first bottles of Philosophy after getting my first “big girl job” as a lawyer and feeling like I’d really made it in the world.
This next set is actually my favorite way to use Philosophy, because while I love the Purity Made Simple, I generally need to use an exfoliating face wash to avoid breakouts. Philosophy’s The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash on sale is the best exfoliating face wash I’ve found. The exfoliating beads are suuuuper tiny, so they don’t hurt your face, but still very effective.

I haven’t actually tried this next item before, but it looks so interesting. Even at 30, I still struggle with breakouts. The reviews on these LED light therapy devices are generally positive, so I’m curious if it would work for me.
On a very basic level, basically the blue lights are supposed to get rid of the bacteria that causes acne.
