I used to think being a lawyer was stressful… then I became a mom. Christmas Recap 2017 [First Christmas as a Family of 4]
Our first Christmas as a family of four is officially in the books! And wow, this holiday season was a complete whirlwind. For starters, various combinations of the kids and I were sick for about the first 2 weeks of December. Between recovering from illness and having a baby who doesn’t sleep through the night, I felt like I was on auto-pilot for most of the season.
Of course, I still wanted to do all of our favorite holiday traditions with the little ones. We just had to cram everything in super fast once we were all feeling better! I knew this would be a really fun year, since Colton is at an age where he thinks Christmas is really magical. Plus, it was Blair’s very first Christmas! And there’s nothing better than a baby’s first holiday season.
Best Leggings for Moms [Lalabu Leggings + Soothe Shirt Review]
Whether you know me in real life or online, you’ve probably heard me talk about one thing… I am incredibly self-conscious about my c-section pouch. [And if you don’t know what a c-section pouch is, consider yourself lucky.] I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find pants that camouflage my c-section shelf, typically with little-to-no luck. But today, I’m sharing one of my secrets: the best leggings for moms. And yes, they actually hide the mommy tummy!
Black Colorblock Floral Top [Stay-at-Home Mom Style]
As the weather cools down, I start loving cozy tops and leggings… even more than I normally do. As a stay-at-home mom, my usual daily style has to emphasize comfort. But, I’ve always enjoyed getting dolled up, and I don’t want to lose that just because I’m a mom. A piece like this black colorblock floral top is a win-win: super comfortable and effortlessly stylish!
Holiday Clothes for Breastfeeding [Nursing-Friendly Holiday Dress]
Since we’ve had children, the holiday season is more magical every year. In 2014, we were eagerly anticipating Colton’s arrival just a couple weeks after Christmas. The next year was magical because it was his first Christmas, and 2016 was amazing because Colton understood so much more of the excitement. And now it’s Blair’s first Christmas! However, since Blair is still nursing, I’ve been on the hunt for some holiday clothes for breastfeeding. Since, you know, I’m not so sure about wearing my usual uniform of nursing tanks to holiday parties.
