I actually enjoy going to baby showers. Is that weird? Lots of people complain about being invited to baby showers, but I’ve always enjoyed them! I like seeing the glowing mom-to-be and admiring all the adorable baby gifts. I even like the cheesy games. But my favorite part is selecting my gift for baby! My son is now the ripe old age of 2, which means it’s time for my initiation into the world of Being a Soccer Mom. I want to do something special with Colton during the last few months before Baby arrives, so we signed him up for a parent/child soccer “clinic.” It’s basically a group of preschoolers getting together every weekend to kick a ball back and forth to their parents between tantrums. We’ve made some major progress in our monochrome baby girl nursery since the last time I wrote about Baby’s room. I can’t believe she’ll be joining us in just 2 short months! I’ve been working quite a bit to make sure her room is ready for her arrival… since, let’s be real, I won’t have any time to work on the nursery once she’s here. Honestly, sometimes the thought of entertaining 2 children all day scares me. At least newborns don’t require much entertainment. Just milk. Lots and lots and lots of milk.
