As the weather cools down, I start loving cozy tops and leggings… even more than I normally do. As a stay-at-home mom, my usual daily style has to emphasize comfort. Since we’ve had children, the holiday season is more magical every year. In 2014, we were eagerly anticipating Colton’s arrival just a couple weeks after Christmas. The next year was magical because it was his first Christmas, and 2016 was amazing because Colton understood so much more of the excitement. And now it’s Blair’s first Christmas! However, since Blair is still nursing, I’ve been on the hunt for some holiday clothes for breastfeeding. Since, you know, I’m not so sure about wearing my usual uniform of nursing tanks to holiday parties.

Traveling with a baby can strike fear into the hearts of even the most experienced parents. Whether it’s a brief road trip or a transatlantic flight, so many unknowns [and so much anxiety!] are involved in the process. We only have a few short weeks left until Baby Girl makes her debut! I’ve started thinking about what to include in my hospital bag, and a cute maternity hospital gown was near the top of the list. With my first baby, I wore the standard hospital-issue gown for my entire stay. Which, for those of you keeping track at home, ended up being close to 2 weeks long for a myriad of issues. I felt so gross and frumpy. And, to be frank, I was embarrassed when the hospital’s newborn photographer came by to take photos of Colton and I. Am I vain? Probably. But at least I own it, and I’m planning ahead with some more stylish options this time around. That’s why I was so excited to find this cute hospital gown to pack for our little girl’s birth!
